Brady, Cooper, Sounders-Timbers, and More West Coast Sports Headlines
28+ Pro Sports headlines from the Pacific Time Zone, including Davante Adams, the Dodgers and more.
Why are the Dodgers games so damn early? If you needed further evidence that national sports media are still focused on the East Coast sports fan, look at the Dodgers’ schedule this past week.
The First NLCS was 5 PM PT on Sunday, when most games are closer to 6 or 7 PM. Los Angeles also hosted a day game in Los Angeles during week, while the Yankees starred in the prime time games.
Yes, there are two New York teams left in the MLB’s Final Four. However, this early broadcast schedule makes it hard for fans in Los Angeles to keep up. We got lives, workouts and traffic. Check out the next game today at 5 PM. The Dodgers are tied with the Mets at 1-1.
The MLS Cup’s decision day concludes with a couple of key matchups. The Seattle Sounders will host the Portland Timbers. Match happens this Saturday at 6 PM with playoff seeding, Cascadia Cup, and Concacaf Champions Cup qualification on the line. LAFC will take on San Jose as they try to catch the Los Angeles Galaxy for the cup’s top seed.
Otherwise, NBA hoops starts next week. The Clippers played their first game in their new Arena. Klay Thompson did not look good with his new team. The Warriors and Lakers played preseason hoops in Las Vegas. Many people believe that will be the NBA’s next home city.
Speaking of Vegas, Tom Brady is a part owner of the Las Vegas Raiders. Ironic, considering his infamous “Tuck Rule” game broke the hearts of RaiderNation. His new role is already impacting his workflow as a broadcaster.
The Raiders also traded Davante Adams to the New York Jets. He’ll join his former Packers QB and fellow California-native Aaron Rodgers with the Jets. Many expect Adams to make his debut versus the Steelers this week, despite recovering from a hamstring injury. Adams sat out last week’s Steelers-Raiders.
Buffalo acquired Amari Cooper from the Cleveland Browns. The Bills made the move only a few minutes after their rival Jets finalized their deal. It wasn’t that long-ago the Raiders traded Cooper in the middle of the season.

RIP to my Padres. They came up short versus the Dodgers last week. It’s still a great season given the injuries they had. They also traded Juan Soto in the offseason. Soto is killing it with the Yankees. There has been a ton of ex-Padres throughout the postseason.
Guess, I’m going for the Dodgers? As long as neither New York team wins… The West Coast is the BEST COAST!
