LAFC’s big moment is right around the corner. The Los Angeles Football Club faces Mexico’s Club America at BMO Stadium on May 31. The winner will make the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, which takes place from June 14 to July 13. The Seattle Sounders are already in the show thanks to their Concacaf Champions Cup title in 2022.

Speaking of international play, Team USA won their first Hockey trophy in decades. Minnesota Wild defenseman represented San Diego.

Also on the ice, the Kraken finally made a hire at head coach. Seattle named Lane Lambert the head coach this week. Lambert coached the New York Islanders from 2022-24.

In more Seattle news, the Storm are hooping, including a big win over Aces this year. They’re winning with some new faces, some names from their past titles and established veterans who bought in the last few offseasons.

And Clippers fans are kicking their self. Not only did Shai Gilgeous-Alexander win MVP for the regular, but he helped the Thunder advance to the NBA Finals. SGA earned the WCF MVP too. All week the internet reminded folks that the Clippers drafted Gilgeous-Alexander before trading him to the Thunder for Paul George.

And folks are still talking about Flag Football at the 2028 Olympics. The QB of the current Team USA flag football team wants to run a game versus the NFL’s flag football team for a chance at the Olympics.
