Los Angeles won another title as the Galaxy won their sixth MLS Cup last week. The Galaxy jumped to a 2-0 lead early and held on to beat the New York Red Bulls 2-1. After not losing a single game at home over the regular season, the Los Angeles Galaxy now now own more MLS trophies than any other MLS franchise.
AEG and the Galaxy also announced a stadium renovation plan this week. The Dignity Health Sports Park is currently the MLS’ oldest soccer-specific stadium. More premium seating and communal areas are part of the plan. In 2028, the Olympics will host several field events at the Carson complex too.
In the NBA, the Warriors were bounced from the NBA Cup this week. Still, Oakland’s own Damian Lillard wants the NBA Cup. Lillard said his Milwaukee Bucks have unfinished business regarding the in-season tournament.
Moreover, check out the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams on Thursday Night Football tonight. It kicks off at 5:15 on Fox and Amazon Prime.
