It's Time For A Dodgers' Parade
Los Angeles wins the World Series, MLS Cup Updates, and 30+ links from West Coast Sports this week
The Dodgers did it! Los Angeles brought home a World Series Championship after beating the Yankees in a 4-1 series.
Starting pitcher Walker Buehler came in to finish Game Five in New York. He set himself up with the perfect moment before hitting MLB Free Agency this offseason. Buehler helped the Dodgers seal a huge comeback win.
Of course, Los Angeles went wild. Freddie Freeman set records and he went home with the MVP award. Clayton Kershaw enjoyed the ride, even though he did not play. It’s hard not to be happy for ex-Mariner Teoscar Hernandez and ex-Angel Shohei Ohtani. The Dodgers celebrated in an empty Yankees Stadium.
Still, there were plenty headlines over the week’s Fall Classic. The Yankees struggled. New York fans interfered and got banned.
Now, the Yankees must decide on Aaron Boone. New York will also find itself in a bidding war to keep Juan Soto.
Otherwise, the MLS Cup continues this weekend. The Seattle Sounders won Game One with a shoot out. Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Galaxy and LAFC both won their respective first games. All three teams can advance with a win this week. The Galaxy play Friday at 6:30 PM, while the Sounders and LAFC take the pitch on Sunday.
