The biggest headlines this week start with the Padres and Dodgers. Los Angeles won Game 1 after starting off 0-3. Then, they lost two straight versus their NL West rivals. Both games featured some controversy over Manny Machado’s base running and fielding for the Padres.

All that led up to a Game 4 where the Padres got blown out. Now, an elimination Game 5 on Friday sets up to be one of the best games ever in this rivalry.

Davante Adams’ trade situation also took a turn. Now, the Raiders say he will play another down in the Silver and Black. Probably because rumors say no team will pay their price.

The Las Vegas Aces’ dynasty came to end versus the New York Liberty. New York beat the Aces in four games, despite losing to them last year. Las Vegas won the title the last two years, but now they will miss the WNBA Finals.

Otherwise, the MLS Cup’s Decision Day is just over a week away. As of now, the Portland Timbers are in the Wild Card round. The Los Angeles Galaxy, LAFC and Storm all sit in the top-3 seeds in the playoffs. Could another MLS Playoff end out West? LAFC secured homefield too.
