Fires and winds calmed down while Los Angeles got back to basketball. Both the Clippers and Lakers played home games this week, after they postponed games last week.
The L.A. sports community kept coming together. The Kings held a donation drive. All together, Los Angeles’ sports teams put together $8 million for fire relief efforts. Even, the Eagles put together some cash.
Otherwise, the Chargers let the West Coast down with a loss to the Houston Texans. Houston is led by Rancho Cucamonga’s CJ Stroud at quarberack.
Speaking of the Inland Empire, the Commanders also advanced to the next round of the NFL postseason. Rookie QB Jayden Daniels, who is from San Bernardino, helped the Commanders defeat the Buccaneers in the best game of Wild Card weekend. Washington also features Ontario’s own Bobby Wagner at linebacker. They face the No. 1 seed Detroit Lions on Saturday at 5 p.m. PT.
Of course, the Los Angeles Rams defeated the Minnesota Vikings in a Monday Night Home game that got moved to Arizona for fire reasons. Now, the Ramily will take on a loaded Eagles roster in Philly on Sunday at Noon.
