WNBA in Portland, Pac-12 and 25+ more sports headlines from the West Coast
On the day Woj stole headlines with his own bomb, it was easy to miss the fact that the WNBA is expanding to Portland. Beginning in 2026, the Portland Trailblazers will share their home with the new WNBA team. The owner of the new franchise is the same group that owns the NWSL’s Portland Thorns.
Rumors about NBA expansion to Las Vegas and Seattle got louder this week as well.
Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani is currently chasing history. Ohtani is after MLB’s first 50-home runs and 50-stolen bases season.
The Pac-12 also announced it would bring San Diego State, Fresno State, Boise State and Colorado State. There are rumors of them adding other teams from the ACC and beyond.
